Hemp in the 2018 Farm Bill

Here is the wording for S.2667 - Hemp Farming Act of 2018: https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/2667/text. The tracker shows that the legislation was introduced on April 12, 2018, but by now the Farm Bill has passed the Senate and is waiting for action in the House of Representatives. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the farm bill would cost $430 billion over five years and $867 billion over ten years.

What the CBO may not have calculated was the floodgate of revenue potential provided by Senator McConnell's Hemp Farming Act. As long as the Farm Bill is stymied in the House of Representatives, industrial hemp hangs in the balance all over the United States.

Please find your representatives and tell them you support industrial hemp in your district.
